It is with great sadness that we share the news that our TBA President, Pete Gioiello, passed away suddenly early Thursday morning, April 11th.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Pete, you know what a wonderful man he was. He was on the Economic Development Committee for our town. He was a businessman, and above all he was a family man. He was husband to Renee, father to Christopher and Rachel and grandfather to Lorenzo, Giovanni, and Isabella. Pete was excited to be soon getting another granddaughter. He was loved and will be missed by so many.

Pete was a big guy with a heart to match who worked tirelessly for the TBA and the Borough of Tuckerton. He was instrumental in finally getting dredging started. He not only worked for Tuckerton Beach, (which he fondly referred to as Mayberry on the bay), he worked just as hard for projects in our town. Even though he worked in New York, he made it a point to get back down to Tuckerton to attend Tuckerton Borough council meetings to represent the beach area.

Pete has left a hole in our hearts and in our town. He will not be forgotten.
